6.1 Use of ABAC Certification Mark

6.2 Use of Accreditation Board IAS Marks, Logos, and Symbols

  1. The IAS logo can only be used when the client’s SCOPE is covered under IAS accreditation of ABAC Certification.
  2. The logo should not be used in any way that misleads the reader about the accredited status of the certification body or the certified body.
  3. The accreditation body’s logo should not be used on packaging, labels, publicity materials, written announcements, etc., suggesting that the accreditation body has certified or approved any product, process, or service of the certified body or in any other misleading manner.
  4. The logo should not be displayed on vehicles except in publicity materials like part of a large advertisement.
  5. The logo should not be displayed on buildings and flags.
  6. The logo should not be used on visiting cards.
  7. Logos can be reproduced in any size, ensuring they do not distort or alter the relative proportions.

6.3 Discontinuation of the ABAC Certification Logo and/or IAS Accreditation Logo

  1. A client certified by ABAC Certification shall discontinue the use of the ABAC Certification logo and/or IAS accreditation mark immediately when any of the following conditions exist:
  2. Lapse of certification, suspension, or withdrawal.
  3. The client has made a change to their Management System not accepted by ABAC Certification, which reasonably affects the client’s qualification for certification.
  4. The client has failed to implement a change to the system requirements issued by ABAC Certification.
  5. Any other circumstances that arise, reasonably expected to adversely affect the client’s Management System certified by ABAC Certification, as identified in the contract agreement.

6.4 Misuse and Penalty

  1. Misuse of the ABAC Certification logo and/or IAS accreditation mark will result in corrective action, withdrawal of certification, publication of the transgression, and, if necessary, other legal action.
